Why create this?
I've been thinking about why I created this and what I was going to do with it. The first bit is reasonably easy - to play around with blogging, find out what it's about and maybe even start writing something that oneday someone will want to read.
The second bit is harder. It's not exactly a "stream of consciousness" yet; it's been a week since my first post (that sounds like the opening line in a confessional). What do I really want to put into this. Some like to just have a soapbox to air their comments and thoughts, others just like to be heard regardless of the thought or act. How much do I want to reveal about myself here? It's surprising how much you can pick up from the subtelties in text (paranoid huh). At the moment, I think we'll keep it low key. Maybe it'll be about stuff that bugs me or makes me happy. Maybe good stuff I've seen. Maybe it's just to realise what communication through blogging is about.
I had so much more I thought about earlier (or even just whilst logging in). It's surprising how quickly it all disappears. The mobile blog is great for those times when your out and about, but I think I need some direct link - mind to blog. The Matrix and Johnny Mnemonic come to mind. Good and bad bits about both concepts. Well obvoiusly the main bad bit in The Matrix was the idea of being used by the machines and then flushed when your finished, but the thought of an alternate world that can be created and manipulated is interesting. Or is that this world? How many levels of fake reallity do you have to go through to get to the actual reality. How much can we influence by thought alone. Ever thought of someone and they call? Maybe you wanted something so much it actually happened. Does not wanting something to happen make it happen? These are all possibilities that have been suggested by some. Not sure what I beleive about it but maybe it's worth a try.
Well that's a nice set of disorganised thoughts grouped under one entry. Well there was a sort of chain there. Maybe I'm finding out what I think. By blogging. The answer is within.
